SlipStream DSL: Introduction
NETinc is proud to announce the availability of
SlipStream DSL for
business users. Operating over telephone wires,
SlipStream DSL is the most affordable of new business
communication solutions available in Hamilton.
SlipStream DSL is a dedicated, point-to-point connection from
you to the nearest SlipStream DSL access point, and from there,
directly to the Internet. You are not sharing your line with
your neighbors, and therefore no "snooping" can
take place, and nobody else can "hog" the line. The line can go
as high as 1.5 Megabits per second, which is nothing short of
astonishing.
On the back end, we connect the SlipStream DSL
access points via 155 Megabits per second "OC3" fiber optic
circuits, via the Hamilton Metropolitan Area Network (HydroMAN).
Areas Served
- Phase 1: Hamilton Core (from Gage
Ave (East) to Westdale (West) to Burlington Street (North) to
the foot of the escarpment (South))
- Phase 2: Add Hamilton Mountain (within
approximately 5km from the corner of Fennel and Upper
Wellington)
- Phases 3,4,5: Add the next most desired area from:
Hamilton East, Hamilton West, Burlington North
We are now in Phase 2 of roll-out. If you are located in
